It is to be noted that PUBG Mobile India was banned by Indian government on September 2, 2020 due to data privacy concerns.

After some reports recently surfaced claiming that PUBG Corporation is gearing up to relaunch PUBG Mobile India and its other versions in India, lakhs of PUBG lovers in India are hopeful that PUBG Mobile India would finally make a comeback in India. It is to be noted that PUBG Mobile India was banned by Indian government on September 2, 2020 due to data privacy concerns.

But AFK Gaming recently reported that Kumar Krishnan Iyer and Hyunil Sohn have been registered as the directors of PUBG India Pvt. Ltd. Hyunil Sohn is the Head Of Corporate Development at KRAFTON Inc. Notably, PUBG Corp is yet to make any concrete announcement over the release date of PUBG Mobile India.

“I cannot tell the timing or anything because we don’t know yet. But what I can tell you is, we care about the Indian market greatly and also that’s how I get to know you and get to know friends in the Indian gaming industry now. So definitely, we will work hard to make it happen. This only implies that the corp. has already begun the process of regaining lost ground,” Hyunil Sohn was quoted as saying by AFK Gaming.

Meanwhile, PUBG Corp recently posted job openings for Investment and Strategy Analyst on LinkedIn, sparling specualtions that the company is planning to relaunch PUBG Mobile India as the post is meant for PUBG Mobile India subsidiary.

On the other hand, PUBG: New State is now available for the users to pre-register on Google Play Store for every country except India. The game’s publisher made it clear that they are focused on relaunching the game in India, they are not opening the pre-registration for PUBG: New State in India.

Inside Sport also reported that PUBG Mobile is also restricting access of the PUBG Mobile Korean version from India, starting July.

PUBG: New State की घोषणा के साथ ही इसके भारत लॉन्च को लेकर फैंस की उम्मदे बढ़ गई हैं। हालांकि कुछ जानकारियां ऐसी निकल कर आई हैं, जिससे फैंस को निराशा हो सकती है। हाल ही में केंद्रिय मंत्री प्रकाश जावडेकर ने PUBG को हिंसक और आदत लगने वाले गेम्स का उदाहरण बताया था और उधर गेम नए वर्ज़न PUBG: New State के पब्लिशर Krafton ने अपने बयान में साफ कर दिया है कि कंपनी नए गेम को भारत में लॉन्च करने की योजना नहीं बना रही है। PUBG के पीसी वर्ज़न के पब्लिशन क्राफ्टॉन का कहना है कि कंपनी भारत में पहले PUBG Mobile को वापस लॉन्च करने की कोशिश में जुटी है। हालांकि सरकार के रुख को देखते हुए यह फिलहाल संभव होता नज़र नहीं आ रहा है। दक्षिण कोरियाई पब्लिकेशन The Guru की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, Krafton अपने नए मोबाइल बैटल रोयाल गेम PUBG: New State को भारत में रिलीज़ करने की योजना नहीं बना रही है। पब्लिकेशन को दिए बयान में Krafton ने कहा है कि (अनुवादित) “यह सच है कि भारत को New State के प्री-रजिस्ट्रेशन से बाहर रखा गया है। हम फिलहाल New State को भारत में लॉन्च करने की योजना नहीं बना रहे हैं।” कंपनी का कहना है कि सबसे पहले वे बैटलग्राउंड मोबाइल गेम का भारतीय वर्ज़न दोबारा रिलीज़ करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेंगे।

Krafton ने PUBG: New State को 25 फरवरी को घोषित किया था और उसी समय से गेम Google Play पर प्री-रजिस्ट्रेशन के लिए उपलब्ध भी हो गया था। हालांकि डेवलपर्स ने भारत के साथ-साथ चीन और वियतनाम को प्री-रजिस्ट्रेशन से बाहर रखा है।

A PUBG Mobile content creator has claimed that PUBG Mobile India has received permission from the Indian government for a relaunch.

There is no dneying the fact that lakhs of PUBG lovers in India are waiting for the relaunch of PUBG Mobile India but the PUBG Corp is yet to make any official announcement regarding the relaunch of PUBG Mobile India. It is to be noted that PUBG Mobile India was banned in September 2020 by the Indian government due to data privacy concerns.

Since the ban several reports had surfaced claiming that PUBG Mobile India would be relaunched in India in 2021 and now a PUBG Mobile content creator, who goes by the name Luv Sharma, has claimed that PUBG Mobile India has received permission from the Indian government for a relaunch.

It may be recalled that PUBG Corporation recently joined hands with with Microsoft Azure to host the game sessions. It is belived that this will help PUBG Corporation in addressing the data proivacy concerns of the Indian government.

Furthermore, few days ago job opening was posted by PUBG Corporation for Investment and Strategy Analyst on LinkedIn, sending a clear message that PUBG Mobile India may be relaunched soon. As per the job descriptipon, the new joinee would be heading mergers and acquisitions.

Another PUBG Mobile pro gamer Abhijeet Andhare claimed that Indian government has given the nod for the launch of PUBG Mobile India.

“I didn’t want to reveal this but it’s your love that I could not refrain myself. The next two months are very good for PUBG lovers and so much interesting news will be coming soon for TSM lovers,” Andhare, who is a member of the TSM eSports team, said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, PUBG Corp has made it clear that it will not open the pre-registration for PUBG: New State in the country. The new game was recently launched on both Google Play and the App Store for global audience.
